Baccarat

Baccarat (or bakarat, or punto banco) is an easy card game. A player can bet on players as well as on a casino (banker). The third possibility of a bet is a draw (tie).

* The casino charges 5% commission for a winning on banker`s bet, that is- for a bet of $10 the winnings are $9.50

The Rules

The rules of baccarat may seem a little bit complicated for a beginner player. It is worth to remember that, the croupier must deal the cards following the below rules. And the only player`s task is to guess who is likely to win- the players or the banker. The player does not need to learn a strategy. The player does not even have to remember the rules of the game simply because the croupier deals the cards following the same rules, independently of who wins.

The aim of the game is to collect more points than the opponent. Cards scores in baccarat are as follows:

When the sum of two cards is bigger than 10, you need to take away 10 from the cards value: i.e. 7+8=15, the value of these two cards is 5.

• The croupier deals two cards each, for the banker and for the players. The third card is picked up accordingly to the following rules:

BANKER

When Player has 6 or 7 points (s/he does not pick up the third card), Banker follows Player`s rules. When Player has the sum of 0,1,2,3,4,5 points, Banker uses the following rules:

* If one of the party gets so called natural hand- that is 8 or 9 with two first cards, none of the party picks up any cards.

*casino` predominance after paying 5% commission.

As you can see, you should avoid tie bet due to a very high casino`s predominance. Banker and Player have a little casino`s predominance and they are a good place to bet.

Because there are no possibilities for the player to make any further decisions after making a bet in baccarat, like in black jack, there is no strategy which would additionally decrease casino`s predominance in this game. However, Baccarat is a good opportunity to try out stake systems.
